This week, we wanted to share a recipe from our dear friends at BFF Kitchen!

INGREDIENTS:
1 small onion
2-3 tbsp olive oil
1-2+ tsp BFF Kitchen Smokin’ Babe Dry Rub
1 burger patty
1/2 – 1 tsp dijon mustard
1 slice of ham lunchmeat
1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
2 pcs bread (or 1 hamburger bun)
2 slices of cheese, any kind (recommend Smith's Smoked Gouda, available at The Farmhouse Meats and Cheese)
Optional: Tomato and lettuce
DIRECTIONS:
Place 2-3 tbsp olive oil into a large pan***, and turn on heat to medium high. Slice onions into strips or however you like them and place in warmed oil. Turn onions in pan to coat with oil. Sprinkle 1-2 tsps of BFF Kitchen Smokin’ Babe Dry Rub to onions and mix to coat. Sear or cook onions until light brown. Push onions to one side of the pan.
Rub one side of hamburger patty with desired amount of dijon mustard. Sear both sides of the patty. Add desired amount of BFF Kitchen Smokin’ Babe Dry Rub to the side without the mustard and continue to cook to your desired doneness.
While your patty is cooking, add desired amount of dijon mustard to one side of a slice of ham. Lightly brown both sides of ham.
For the last minute or two, toast the inside of your bread/bun in the pan juices.
Finally, build your burger as follows: bottom bun, hamburger patty, onions, cheese, ham, more onions, another slice of cheese, top bun. Enjoy your Smokin’ Cheeseburger!!!
***If you use a large enough pan you can do all of this in one pan as described above.***

Stop by the Pembroke Farmers Market this Saturday, August 22, from 10-1 pm on the Town Green in front of the Pembroke Community Center to get your dry rub and cheese for this amazing recipe!
